Jimmy Carris (born Casper Wakkee) is a 23-year-old Dutch EDM artist signed to Ultra Records.

An avid music-lover since birth, Jimmy has developed his ear for music and his talents as a DJ to become one of the new rising stars in the rapidly growing EDM market. As a tribute to his grandfather, he chose the stage name “Jimmy Carris”, naming himself after the man who taught him his strong core values and life principles.

Raised just outside of Amsterdam, Jimmy started saving for his first set of turntables at the age of twelve. Within only a matter of a few years, Jimmy fine-tuned his skill as an artist to become a steady player in the Amsterdam club scene. Fast-forward to now, Jimmy Carris is the first Dutch DJ signed to Sony Music Entertainment’s Ultra Records.

An experienced performer, Jimmy understands how to read the crowd and deliver what they came to hear. He has already played some of the biggest festivals in the EDM scene, including Beatloverz, Dance Valley, and Mysteryland.

A gifted producer in the studio, Jimmy has released several singles and remixes, including his original track, “Open Your Heart” featuring Polina.

Jimmy Carris is dedicated to building a strong career and will be based in the United States starting in early January. He has already toured in the US at venues such as the two iconic NYC clubs Pacha and Lavo, and in Ibiza at the Blue Marlin.
